CORGI Technical Services has announced the launch of its assisted learning packages
for the Social Housing sector.
Vocationally Related Qualification course for Gas Safety Managers
In response to sector demand CORGI has launched a unique EAL Accredited VRQ (Vocationally Related Qualification) – Gas Safety Management in Social Housing which results in validation of skill and experience in delivering effective gas safety management.
The course will cover 5 key areas of the gas safety management mix: legislation, gas in social housing, carbon monoxide, flues and ventilation and appliances, metering and pipework.
Bill Paton, Joint CEO of CORGI said, “This is an Industry first, and it’s a direct response to feedback we have had from our client base” he continued “It has been a contentious issue that there is no formal recognition of the huge experience and expertise that exists with mangers responsible for gas safety management in the social housing sector, but with this VRQ that has been addressed.”
Mr Paton continued, “We have been able to utilise our deep understanding of the subject matter to deliver a course that will be both challenging and worthwhile for those who embark upon it. The result will be a long overdue standard for the management of gas safety in the social housing sector”, he concluded.
CPD Accredited e-learning modular courses
A range of CPD Accredited e-learning modular courses prepares social housing staff in handling gas safety issues, demonstrating a commitment to best practice.
The courses have been designed to be modular in design giving flexibility to everyone who works through them. As long as internet access is available they can be done at any time – meaning they can often be completed out of office hours at the learners’ convenience.
CORGI Commercial Director Eddie Stanton explained, “At CORGI we have been running our Gas Safety Seminars for many years. Our customers continually comment on how useful and informative they are. However, it is not always practical to bring numbers of people from an organisation together during the working day. We always want to respond to our client base, so we have developed a parallel range of modular courses to cover gas safety issues”.
“We believe this initiative is a major step forward in spreading best practice in gas safety managers. We have responded to many HR managers who believe that our course should be used for all new employees at induction stage, and because of our competitive pricing strategy we believe it represents a sound investment for organisations even in these difficult times”, said Mr Stanton.
The CORGI e-learning courses start from £45.00.
