CORGI Technical Services has won the Gas Safety in Social Housing Award at the National Home Improvement Council Awards 2014 which took place yesterday in London.
The Awards have been running since 1974 and recognise achievement in the UK housing arena. Entries came from across a spectrum of housing modernisation projects and associated activities.
The Gas Safety in Social Housing Award was given for the work that CORGI Technical Services had done over the last year to put in place a comprehensive family of qualifications for staff at all levels in Social Housing, including a new one for tenants. The qualifications are having a significant impact on raising standards in gas safety.
Claire Heyes, Joint CEO of CORGI Technical Services, was presented with a plaque at the Awards lunch in London and she said: “I am delighted to accept this Award on behalf of the whole team at CORGI Technical Services who have worked very hard to design and deliver qualifications to this important sector across the UK. Raising standards and levels of awareness throughout the Social Housing sector is crucial ensure all staff and tenants are safe.”
