First female to graduate the new CORGI VRQ Compliance Diploma!

A huge congratulations to Amanda Curtis for being the first woman to complete the Level 4 diploma in Asset & Building Management Compliance course!  Amanda Curtis, Compliance Manager at Notting Hill Genesis has recently been awarded her certificate by our Senior Technical Manager Trevor Batt at her office in London.

On receiving her qualification, Amanda said: “I am really pleased to have passed my level 4 diploma, and to be the first woman! It’s one of the best courses I have completed covering the five key areas of compliance … albeit challenging at times.  I think being a woman in compliance has enabled me to show that women can work in this environment which has been predominantly male led, and can achieve and excel in what they do, and do it very well.  If I was to offer advice to anyone wanting to undertake the course, it would be …. Set yourself the challenge of one theme a month, by doing this enabled me to keep focused and within the year reach my goal to complete the course.”

Kim Morris, Head of Training and Membership at CORGI said “We would like to extend our congratulations to Amanda for being one of the first people to pass the CORGI Level 4 VRQ Diploma in Asset & Building Management Compliance. It is an extremely comprehensive course, covering the key aspects of compliance within social housing and facilities management including fire, gas, electrical, asbestos and legionella safety, and therefore requires a certain level of dedication to complete the course. It is a real achievement and I very much hope the learnings from the course will benefit Amanda’s Compliance Management role at Notting Hill Genesis going forward.”
