The dates for the 2014 Gas Safety Management Conference have been announced as Tuesday 29 April and Wednesday 30 April 2014 and the location will again be the stunning setting of the Belfry in the West Midlands.
Following the success of the inaugural Gas Safety Management Conference in April 2013 and at the request of delegates, the Conference, which is being organised by CORGI Technical Services, will run over two days in 2014 and will include a day and a half of Conference, an Awards Dinner on the Tuesday evening, a bigger exhibition, a full programme of top speakers and a golf tournament on the Tuesday morning.
Over 180 delegates attended the first Conference this year, representing Gas Managers from social housing and FM organisations from across the UK, with a collective responsibility of over 1.5 million homes. Feedback from delegates was overwhelmingly positive and CORGI Technical Services has taken these views on board in planning for 2014. Attending the Conference were members of the Association of Gas Safety Managers and the Inter-Authority Gas Forums and the participation of members of these organisations will again be significant for the 2014 event.
Claire Heyes, Joint CEO of CORGI Technical Services commented: “The 2013 Conference was a huge success and we are looking at ways to build on this success and develop the Conference further for 2014. We set this Conference up to develop the profession – we had identified the need for Gas Managers to come together to create one voice, to discuss topical issues, share thoughts and experiences and determine the actions to be taken forward as an industry.”
“We have taken on board the views of delegates about what they would like to see in the Conference next year,” added Claire, “and we are anticipating another exciting programme including more discussions around new developments in the industry. We will be making further announcements about the details over the next few months.”
