Housing project gives city economic boost
A £1 billion project to upgrade homes in Glasgow has brought a major economic boost and thousands of jobs to the city.
A study by Heriot Watt University and Napier University has revealed Glasgow Housing Association’s investment programme, the biggest of its kind in Europe, has brought in an extra £923 million to the UK economy – with around £682 million remaining in Glasgow.
The report also shows the project has created or supported more than 9,000 jobs.
