and executives can build stronger safety cultures to ensure that their organisations are resilient to major incidents.
This Masterclass is brought to you by CORGI Technical Services and the ASCP, in association with JMJ Associates, a global leader in developing safety leadership and culture in high hazard industries.
The highly interactive workshop is designed to challenge conventional thinking and leave participants with practical insights and actions they can implement in their organisations. The workshop will introduce key concepts and principles for building strong safety cultures. It will provide a safe space to share experiences and learnings with each other.
Our vision is to equip social housing boards across the UK to better understand the impact culture has on safety and deliver the Charter for Social Housing Residents White Paper objectives, helping to keep millions of residents safe.

- Gill Kernick – a Master Consultant at JMJ Associates, former resident of Grenfell Tower and author of ‘Catastrophe & Systemic Change’
Our guest for the day will be the eminent Jim Wetherbee, retired Astronaut. Jim will share his own fascinating safety leadership journey and insights, drawing parallels with the role of executives and boards in creating strong safety cultures.

What experience and qualifications are needed to take the course?
No prior experience or qualifications are required prior to attending this Masterclass.
How is the course delivered?
The Masterclass consists of a one-day workshop plus a follow-up virtual discussion.
- Workshop: This one-day in-person workshop will be highly practical, with participants creating an action plan to implement. There will be opportunity to work with peers from across the sector.
- Virtual Follow-up Discussion: This will be 4-6 weeks after the workshop. In this 3-hour online session participants will reflect on progress in implementing their plans. It is also designed for participants to ask questions or seek advice on any issues they have encountered. Both facilitators and Jim Wetherbee will attend this session.
Assessment
Prior to the course, you will be asked to answer a short confidential questionnaire providing insights into your organisation’s current safety culture and your personal impact as safety leaders.
