Gas installation and building regulation certificates

Consumers can request a replacement gas installation certificate and/or Building Regulations certificate for gas work that was notified under the CORGI gas work notification scheme in place between 1 April 2005 and 31 March 2009. During that period, CORGI operated the relevant registration and notification arrangements before the scheme transferred to Gas Safe Register on 1 April 2009. For installations notified from 1 April 2009 onwards, replacement certificates must be obtained from Gas Safe Register.

Prior to April 2005 there was no requirement to notify gas work and therefore certificates cannot be provided.

You can request a search of the database using the form below. The CORGI team are unable to take requests over the phone or provide any advice or guidance - the only way to request a search for a replacement certificate is by using the form below.

Please note, if your request relates to the CORGI fenestration (windows) scheme, these enquiries should be directed to CORGI Services.
